Ever wanted to create a redundant system from 2 hard drives the exact way a Raid controller does? You can do it in Windows 10.<\/p>\n

You can create a virtual disk using as many physical drives as you want.<\/p>\n

Here is how.<\/p>\n

    Add or connect the drives that you want to group together with Storage Spaces.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n

    Go to the taskbar, type Storage Spaces in the search box, and select Storage Spaces from the list of search results.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n

    Select Create a new pool and storage space.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n

    Select the drives you want to add to the new storage space, and then select Create pool.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n

    Give the drive a name and letter, and then choose a layout. Two-way mirror, Three-way mirror, and Parity can help protect the files in the storage space from drive failure.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n

    Enter the maximum size the storage space can reach, and then select Create storage space.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Congratulations! You have just created a Raid controller alternative. Notice your physical drives do not appear in the directory tree anymore. Only the new virtual drive appears along with the system drive etc.<\/p>\n
